Shaping the future of light

Light-emitting wallpapers and windows sound like the stuff of science fiction, but they are actually not far from becoming a reality. A team of researchers in Dresden is working to make it happen.

Alexander Zakhidov is a researcher at Dresden University of Technology. The 30 year old physicist specialized in OLEDs - organic light-emitting diodes. He is trying to make OLED displays more colorful.
