The Federation of German Industries (BDI) is the umbrella organisation of industrial businesses and industry-related service providers. The BDI helps companies keep pace with and meet the challenges of a globalised market. 

The German Business Portal is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and offers a wide range of business information on Germany. The “Business Location” section provides details on various industrial sectors, such as biotechnology and nanotechnology.

The German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) maintain delegate offices and representations in more than 80 countries and play a crucial role for German industry in a world of integrating global markets. This organization is the foreign trade and inward investment agency of the Federal Republic of Germany. It promotes Germany as a business and technology location, supports companies based in Germany with global market information and informs and advises international companies setting up business in Germany. 

The e-trade-center is a web-based exchange for both German and foreign companies. The center's main purpose is to promote business contacts and cooperation for a wide range of business activities - including joint ventures, product marketing, and advice and consulting.
