German delegates visit Moscow’s Engineering and Physics Institute

Representatives of 20 German universities and research institutes will visit Moscow’s prestigious Engineering and Physics Institute (MEPhI) from 5 to7 November 2009. In Moscow the delegates will have the opportunity to present their field of research and network with 40 renowned Russian scientists, who teach and conduct research at MEPhI or one of its associated universities.
All the institutes at the event share a common interest in the research fields of nanotechnology, laser science, energetics and materials science.
The goal of the visit is to increase the scientific exchange between Russian and German researchers and to explore opportunities for future cooperation. The event is conducted as part of the “Research in Germany – Land of ideas” initiative and is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
