The new brochure "German Funding Programmes for Science and and Research in Germany" lists more than 40 selected schemes that various German institutions and organisations offer for international students, graduates, doctoral students, postdocs and senior scientists.
These funding opportunities include (research) scholarships for particularly promising candidates. Special graduate and postgraduate grants are available for excellent students who wish to pursue their doctoral studies in a structured study programme, for example at a graduate or research school.
Junior research groups, young investigators groups and assistant professorships provide young and early-stage scientists and researchers with a fast-track option into independent research.
The programmes are available on the portal and can be filtered by target groups. They can also be downloaded as a PDF brochure. The German Academic Exchange Service publishes these as part of the BMBF Initiative on "Research in Germany". The respective organisations will be pleased to provide detailed information on the specific programmes that they offer.
