The Water Environment Federation Annual Conference and Exhibition (WEFTEC) presents an educational programme that concentrates on innovative technological advances in water and wastewater treatment, collection systems, water quality, water reuse and pollution control. The "Research in Germany - Land of Ideas" initiative will host a large stand, where six exhibitors display Germany’s latest research projects and innovations in the environmental technologies, and particularly water management.

These include the German Water Partnership, the Helmholtz Centre of Competence for Soil, Groundwater and Site Revitalisation (TASK), the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology (IGB), the University of Kassel East-West Competence Centre and the German Society for Membrane Technology.
