GABI is an associative project supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Visit the website and find out more about German plant genome research, creation of a national network and establishment of competence centres.

The major objective of the GenoMik-Plus network entitled "Functional Genome Research on Bacteria Relevant for Agriculture, Environment and Biotechnology" is to advance bacterial genome research in the fields of agriculture, environment as well as biotechnology, and to exploit the results obtained for commercial use. A special aim of the network is to train young scientists of the co-operating partners.

The German Agricultural Society (DLG) is an independent organisation that specialises in agricultural and food know-how, including exhibitions, publishing and certified agricultural machinery quality and food testing. The organisation currently has 23,000 German and international members.
