Professor Martin Faulstich has held the chair of Resource and Energy Technology at the Technical University (TU) of Munich since 2003.
After completing his doctorate in chemistry, Thomas Hirth became a scientific assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology (ICT) in Karslruhe in 1992.
Beate Jessel studied landscape management at the Technical University (TU) of Munich in Freising-Weihenstephan.
Jürgen Mlynek studied physics at the Technical University of Hannover and the École Polytechnique in Paris, completing his studies with a doctorate and subsequently a Habilitation (post-doctoral qualification).
Hermann Requardt studied physics at the Technical University of Darmstadt and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt / Main.
Professor Schellnhuber founded the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in 1991. Since 1993, he has been the Director of the Institute and is Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Potsdam.
