The German-Korean collaboration is also to be extended in the future. Joint events, the newly-created Alumni Network (AdeKo) as well as the systematic promotion of young scientists and researchers will contribute to this. This latter aspect is typified by the General Agreement on the Recognition of Academic Qualifications reached between the German Rectors' Conference (Hochschulrektorenkonferenz – HRK) and the Korean Council for University Education, thereby opening up new routes for students from both countries to take.
The "German-Korean Cooperation Committee for Science and Industrial Technology Development" will continue to drive the exchange of knowledge and experience forward. It can be seen today that all the players and stakeholders involved will, in all probability, continue their activities beyond the project term as such – providing remarkable proof of the pilot scheme's success with Research Marketing in South Korea.
