From the Baltic Sea to the Indian Ocean – Solutions for new challenges. One of the most important plasma technology networks in Europe brings together plasma experts.


An RBF well under construction in Srinagar at the Alaknanda River by the RBFN partner Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan in August 2011 as part of asn RBF scheme comprising a series of wells aimed at providing the towns of Srinagar and Pauri with a continuous year-round source of drinking water.

RBFN – Improving the Quality of Drinking Water in India

In May 2011 the Riverbank Filtration Network (RBFN) established the Indo-German Competence Centre for Riverbank Filtration (IGCCRBF) to scientifically evaluate the potential of RBF for safe drinking water production in India.

BIOMATEG – Biomass Technology made in Germany

Within the framework of the "India and Germany – Strategic Partners for Innovation" campaign funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the BIOMATEG project "Biomass Technology made in Germany" presented German expertise in biomass plants in the target country of India.


Already since 2004 the Institute for Print and Media Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology is cooperating with Indian partners in research and education.
