On 5 May 2012, the DAAD offered a seminar in Bogotá, Colombia as part of the “Research in Germany” campaign, titled “Investigar en Alemania. Oportunidades – Cooperación – Financiación”. The event was organised by the DAAD Information Centre in Bogotá in cooperation with the Colombian Ministry of Education and the research funding agency Colciencias.

• „Research in Germany“ at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly

Within the collaborative marketing project “Research in Germany”, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) presented Germany’s manifold research and funding opportunities at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly. The event was held in Vienna from April 22-27, 2012, where more than 11.000 scientists gathered to present their research and to exchange views in the wide field of geosciences, environmental sciences and water research.

• “Research in Germany” presented for the first time in the state of Veracruz, Mexico

On 19 and 20 April 2012, the DAAD Mexico held three, half-day information workshops on “Research in Germany” at the research centre Instituto de Ecología (INECOL) in Xalapa and on the campuses of the Universidad Veracruzana (UV) in Xalapa and Boca del Río.
