Germany wants to maintain its world market leadership, and so its processing industry has to develop new production technologies. Federal Government supports production research aimed at drawing up model solutions for forward-looking production technology solutions.

Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials Research (IFAM) in Bremen focuses its research on Powder technology, Casting technology, Light weight construction, Micro production technology, Functional Printing, Rapid Prototyping, Nanopowder Technology.

The aim of  the Fraunhofer IPT is to develop new and optimise existing solutions through practice-oriented research and development for our clients in the modern production industries.

The Research Explorer is a joint project of the DFG (German Research Foundation) and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). The database contains over 17,000 institutes at German universities plus non-university research institutions, searchable by name, geographic location, subject and other criteria.
