Maritime Technologies

The Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) does research in the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as in temperate latitudes. The website contains links to other research institutes, universities, companies, societies and associations active in this field.

ERA-NET TRANSPORT (ENT) is a sustainable network of national transport research programmes in Europe. ENT is also a service platform for programme managers, which provides the required framework to initiate and implement trans-national cooperation.

The Federal Government intends to make Germany a maritime high-tech location and support further developments and progress under its "Shipping and Marine Technology in the 21st Century" research programme.
