Check out biotechnologie.de! The extensive database can be searched for biotech clusters or a specific biotech region in Germany. The search result lists the various biotech clusters/regions and briefly describes their objectives, motivations and collaborating partners.

Clusters of excellence will enable German university locations to establish internationally visible, competitive research and training facilities, thereby enhancing scientific networking and cooperation among the participating institutions. Clusters of excellence should form an important part of a university's strategic and thematic planning, significantly raise its profile and reflect its considered long-term priorities.

Kompetenzcluster.org is an initiative of the Association of German Engineers (VDI), an independent, non-profit organisation of 132,000 engineers and natural scientists. The website provides information on clusters, news and events throughout Germany. (Available in German only)
