Regions in Focus

With its High-Tech Strategy (HTS), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is determined to provide as much support as possible to science and research. One of the goals of the High-Tech Strategy is to establish long-term cooperation with countries that have a dynamic research environment and have become attractive partners for Germany in the fields of science and technology.

In 2006, the first regional campaign was launched to increase collaboration with the emerging market of Korea. From September 2008, the second campaign will focus on India. The objective of these campaigns is to forge strategic partnerships through individual collaborations between the best research institutes in Germany and in the partner countries.
