Upcoming conference to focus on Heinrich Glarean’s library

The library of the humanist Heinrich Glarean is the starting point of a conference entitled “Heinrich Glarean’s Library and Its Intellectual Contexts II,” which will consider the disciplinary diversity of scholars in the early modern period. The international conference begins on 6 September 2010 and is hosted by LMU’s Institute of Musicology in cooperation with King’s College, Cambridge. It is the second of a conference series on Glarean’s Library organized within the scope of the Collaborative Research Center “Pluralisierung und Autorität in der Frühen Neuzeit” (Pluralism and Authority in the Early Modern Period).
