The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) initiated the campaign “Research in Germany – Land of Ideas” in 2006 to present Germany’s research achievements and opportunities to the global community. As part of “Research in Germany”, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) organises international events to enhance the appeal of research in Germany around the world.

In addition, the “Research in Germany” (www.research-in-germany.de) portal offers information on research institutes, key research areas, funding programmes and career opportunities.
